Primary tabs

Fei Wang has been chosen to receive the 2019-2020 IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Predoctoral Achievement Award, the highest honor for Ph.D. students from the IEEE SSCS. Wang is a Ph.D. student in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).

This predoctoral achievement award is for Wang's Ph.D. research on “mm-Wave broadband linear active load modulation power amplifier architectures with deep PBO efficiency enhancement.” The goal of his research is to radically advance the modulation performance of mm-Wave power amplifiers beyond the state-of-the-art to address beyond-5G and next-generation wireless communication applications.

Wang is a member of the Georgia Tech Electronics and Micro-System (GEMS) Lab, where he is advised by ECE Associate Professor Hua Wang. He received his B.Sc. from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. His past awards include First Prize, Shanghai Undergraduate Mathematical Competition (China); the Tencent Innovation Scholarship (Fudan University); the Georgia Tech ECE Graduate Fellowship; the Analog Devices, Inc. Outstanding Student Designer Award in 2017; and the 2018 IEEE Custom Integrated Circuits Conference Best Student Paper Award.
