INTA Prof's Research and Book Featured in "Research Horizons"

Primary tabs

International Affairs Assistant Professor Margaret E. Kosal was featured prominently in the Spring 2010 issue of "Research Horizons".

The article discusses Kosal's research and recent book, "Nanotechnology for Chemical and Biological Defense" (Springer Academic Publishers, 2009) on the potential of nanotechnology to be used for development of revolutionary countermeasures against biological and chemical weapons such as new detectors, protective gear, decontaminants, vaccines, and therapeutics and the dual use conundrum of nanotechnology's potential to enable the creation and proliferation of new or nano-enabled weapons. The work emphasizes the need to develop strategies now to be able to lessen the potential for malfeasant applications of these technologies in a much more analytical and systematic way than has been pursued thus far.

"Horizons Research" is a publication from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
