Employee Learning Week 2016

Primary tabs

Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) celebrates Employee Learning Week Dec. 5–9 to highlight the important connection between learning and achieving organizational results.

The weeklong event includes opportunities for Georgia Tech faculty and staff to learn new workplace skills and explore courses that GTHR’s Workplace Learning & Professional Development (WLPD) team offers year-round.

Employee Learning Week is part of a nationwide campaign created by the Association for Talent Development and has become an annual Human Resources event.

To kick off Employee Learning Week, the WLPD Street Team will circle campus on Monday, Dec. 5, giving away free professional development and promoting the following upcoming events:

  • Managing People, Survival Tips: (Tuesday, Dec. 6) Discuss management best practices often overlooked but critical for individual and organizational success.
  • Seasoned Employee Experience: (Wednesday, Dec. 7) Long-standing employees can feel like new employees again by spending a half-day reconnecting to the mission, vision and culture of Georgia Tech.
  • You Are Not a Fraud: Managing the Imposter Syndrome Within: (Thursday, Dec. 8) Explore tips for managing self-doubt and stretch yourself to the next level.
  • Service Learning: (Friday, Dec. 9) Participate in a day-long service learning opportunity through a partnership with Junior Achievement. Registered employees will teach young people about money management and business, while learning something about themselves. This event takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center.
