Georgia Tech researchers Britney Schmidt an Earth and Atmospheric Sciences professor and Mick West a Senior Research Engineer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute are utilizing the environment underneath Antarctica's largest ice shelf to explore the ocean floor with the aid of a robotic vehicle, Icefin.
