Scholarships for First Generation Students at Georgia Tech

The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs is proud to award Coca-Cola Mobility Scholarships and Graduate Fellowships for First Generation College Students.  Students who are the first in their family to attend college will have the opportunity to gain global perspectives and experience abroad through a generous grant  from the Coca-Cola Foundation.  The $1.13 million pledge to Campaign Georgia Tech will provide funding to enable first-generation college students to take courses in the Sam Nunn School and will underwrite complementary study and work abroad programs in Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

The grant is designed to benefit both undergraduate and graduate students.  In addition to tuition, fees, and study/work abroad opportunities, the funding will also support internships and career development programs.

 

These funds are available four categories.  


 1.  Up to $5000 for overseas Summer Study Abroad experiences in Sam Nunn School of International Affairs Programs for students FROM ANY MAJOR!http://gtsoutheastasia.weebly.com   $5000 for students from any major!http://gteustudyabroad.weebly.com   $5000 for students from any major!http://spainportugal2014.weebly.com   $5000 for students from any major!  2.  Up to $1500 for any off campus international experience, including any study abroad and exchange programs outside of the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs.  Also international alternative Spring Break programs, international internships, presenting at international conference, etc.  3.  Up to $500 for off campus experiences in the US, including networking, med school or grad school interviews, conference presentation and much more.   4.  Up to $45,000 per year for graduate programs in International Affairs (looking for students with undergraduate degrees in engineering and sciences and interested in International Affairs)  Application is only one page. Requirements:  Students must be FIRST GEN as documented by their FAFSA Full Time 2.5 GPA US Citizen or Permanent Resident financial need DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION March 20, but we will hold open to March 24 due to Spring Break.
