Hall Introduces Red Tails

Primary tabs

Red Tailsthe new George Lucas film highlighting the challenges and heroism of the Tuskegee Airmen during Word War II, was introduced at its January 19th premiere in Salt Lake City by Georgia Tech alumus, Col. Stephen C. Hall.

Hall researches and lectures on the role of minorities and women in WWII.  20th Century Fox invited him to introduce the film, whose backers include Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry.  Hall told the audience that the film, "exposes white America to a portion of history known to only a precious few. Over one million African Americans covered themselves in glory in WWII, and very few white folks have a clue."  Hall is a member of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts Advisory Board and a generous donor through the Stephen C. Hall Endowed Scholarship and endowments of the Bynum Suite in the Skiles Building and the Stephen C. Hall Building. He is Director at Large for L-3 Communications Systems-West.
