About the Hive Makerspace
The Hive Makerspace, also known as the Interdisciplinary Design Commons (IDC)  is a 15,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art makerspace that is located in the rotunda of the Van Leer Building, at the heart of Georgia Tech’s campus. The IDC opened in September 2018 to provide the Georgia Tech community an accessible engineering space. Here, students can cultivate their making skills, create prototypes for their next big idea, and even build out their personal projects for fun! All Georgia Tech students, regardless of year, major, or experience, are allowed to utilize the makerspace and all its resources, free of charge.
