Are you interested in learning about the strategic value to private industry of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets?

Intellectual property (IP) is a business asset to organizations. It is used strategically in many aspects of business, from start-ups seeking investors to established companies building on a competitive advantage.

We will address:

  • How do organizations extract monetary value from IP?
  • How can a business protect its competitive market position using IP?
  • Where does IP fit into an organization’s competitive strategy?

To get the full value out of this class, participants are expected to have taken the "Overview of Intellectual Property" class, or have prior knowledge about different types of IP.

Audience: Inventors, entrepreneurs, students, and researchers.

This class is part of the Intellectual Property Seminar Series offered by the Georgia Tech Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) at Georgia Tech Library.
