Hey Yellow Jackets! Want to learn a fun, fast-paced sport? Gain 40+ amazing friends and teammates? De-stress with some solid physical contact? Come join us for Yellow Jacket Roller Derby Open Enrollment! We'll provide you with skates and protective gear and teach you the basics of skating (like how to skate, fall, and stop), so no experience is necessary. We are a roller derby sports club-- not a roller skating club, so after you've gotten a good handle on the basics we'll teach you how to play derby with contact! Open enrollment will be an opportunity for you to feel out whether or not you actually enjoy skating and want to join the team, and you'll get to use the gear we provide for your first semester. The January 22 and January 29 practices are open to everyone! You may only attend the February 5 session if you have participated in one of the prior practices or if you have previous skating experience. Our practices build upon each other, so we follow this strict schedule to ensure everyone can learn the contact aspect of this sport as quickly as possible.

We highly recommend wearing a mask at our indoor practices regardless of vaccination status. Once a member of the organization, we require proof of weekly testing to attend practice.
