We\u0026#39;ll provide you with skates and protective gear and teach you the basics of skating (like how to skate, fall, and stop), so no experience is necessary. We are a roller derby sports club-- not a roller skating club, so after you\u0026#39;ve gotten a good handle on the basics we\u0026#39;ll teach you how to play derby with contact! Open enrollment will be an opportunity for you to feel out whether or not you actually enjoy skating and want to join the team, and you\u0026#39;ll get to use the gear we provide for your first semester. You may only attend the February 5 session if you have participated in one of the prior practices or if you have previous skating experience.
