GTSF Philanthropy Week

Primary tabs

Join the Georgia Tech Student Foundation as we work to Educate the student body on how philanthropy impacts Georgia Tech and everything that we enjoy at the university as a student. Each event will teach students about one of the four pillars of the Georgia Tech Student Foundation; stewardship, awareness, gratitude, and giving.

Student education and awareness is done via tabling on campus at either Tech Walkway or West Village depending on the weather.

Event Schedule:

Monday: Where Does Your Money Go?

April 5 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Location: Tech Walk Way and West Village

Join the Georgia Tech Student Foundation and learn where your $10 SAA donation goes — Interact with our ‘Where does your money go’ survey either on social media or in person at one of our tabling locations at Tech Walkway and West Village. All submissions will be tracked in real-time and shared with event attendees.

Tuesday: Alumni Thank You Letters

April 6 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Location: Tech Walkway

Evidence shows that actively practising gratitude leads to a healthier and happier life so why not take a few minutes out of your day to practice gratitude and say thanks to Georgia Tech’s biggest supporters: Alumni Donors. GTSF will be giving out Tiff’s Treats Cookie to all students who write a thank-you note to a first-time Giving Day donor. Participants can also join in on Instagram and be entered into a raffle for a gift card.

Thursday: Giving Day

April 8 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Location: Tech Walkway

A celebration of Tech’s philanthropic tradition.  We will come together to educate the student body about how philanthropy benefits our campus, while aiming to increase SAA membership and spread the knowledge about Roll Call. Participants who visit each of our five tables and complete our exit survey will receive a free cake pop.

Friday: FLI Challenge

April 9 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Location: Tech Walkway

To close out Philanthropy Week, come play a game of trivia to learn more about GTSF with our First-Year Leadership Initiative (FLI) Committee! Chat with us about philanthropy and learn about the ways your donations make an impact on campus. Free popsicles will be available for those who stop by and answer a few GTSF trivia questions.
