Join us for our first I2S workshop of the season on Basic Research w/ Liz Holdsworth & Cynthia Kutka.

Liz Holdsworth is the STEM Librarian at Georgia Tech, a position held since August 2016. She earned an M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina, Asheville. As the liaison to Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Biomedical Engineering, she assists faculty and students in their research processes. Holdsworth creates digital content to facilitate access to library services. She is co-coordinator of information literacy and GT1000 sessions for the library. As a project manager, she oversees the development of programming for faculty.

Cynthia joined Georgia Tech as the Business & Entrepreneurship Librarian in January 2019.  In this role, she manages the Library’s commercialization information service that provides actionable business, market, competitor, and IP information exclusively to Georgia Tech inventors and entrepreneurs. The commercialization of innovation and entrepreneurship at Georgia Tech aligns with Tech’s vision of “creating the next real-world solutions” for business and technology and supports the overarching mission of excellence in scholarship and research, expanding our global profile, and service to the public.

The Ideas to Serve Workshops are open to anyone interested in participating in the Competition. The weekly session will cover evidence-based problem discovery methods to guide students in their journey to understand the system-level implications of social and environmental issues around us and around the world.
