KIPP Metro Atlanta Teaching Residency

The KIPP Metro Atlanta Teaching Residency provides a unique and rigorous opportunity for aspiring educators to enter the profession through a supportive training process. Residents will learn alongside mentor teachers, while earning a master's degree in teaching.
This selective, paid, two-year program immerses residents in intensive training through graduate coursework and thoughtful practice with a gradual on-ramp into teaching. Paired with mentor teachers during their first year, residents gradually take on more instructional responsibilities before stepping into the classroom full time for their second year in the program.
Residents will have the opportunity to engage in content development, case studies, and instructional rounds all aimed at building a continuous learning mindset within themselves and their cohort. This program is best suited for Individuals who are passionate and committed.
We are looking for people with a passion for education and a call to educate students in the Metro Atlanta area. Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to apply:
- A four-year degree from an accredited university by June 2020 with a GPA of 3.00 or higher
- A history of achievement and perseverance
- Growth-oriented, ready to learn the art of teaching, and willing to work extremely hard in order to continuously improve their craft
- An unwavering commitment to our students and the mission of our schools
