Primary tabs

How so? Atlanta is home to a thriving film economy thanks to a low cost of living, tax breaks to the film industry, and a workforce ready to contribute.

You don’t even have to leave campus to see where some filming took place. Scenes from The Accountant, starring Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick, were filmed during Spring Break 2015.

When you grab a cup of coffee at the Starbucks in the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons, just think… that’s where Owen Wilson & Vince Vaughn found out Google gives its employees free food in the movie “The Internship”. If you play frisbee golf or soccer at Couch Park, or complete the CRC's Leadership Challenge Course, that’s where The Internship’s Quidditch match was filmed!

2017 brought us a "High-Octane Love Letter to Atlanta" in Baby Driver. The distinctive Healey Building, Pullman Yards and high-speed car chases along Peachtree St & Buford Highway feature prominently in the film.

Head towards Buckhead where Atlanta History Center’s The Swan House played the part of President Snow’s home in The Hunger Games series, and now, you can even take the Hunger Games tour. And of course, fans of tv show The Walking Dead can tell you where many scenes were filmed in Atlanta and throughout the state of Georgia.

Other movies filmed in Atlanta? Marvel's Avengers series, Selma, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Identity Thief, 42, What To Expect When You’re Expecting, The Trouble with the Curve and Life As We Know It.
