Deliberate Innovation, Lifetime Education: A Town Hall Discussion

Primary tabs

Join Provost Rafael L. Bras on April 25 for a town hall discussion as the Commission on Creating the Next in Education releases its final report.

Titled “Deliberate Innovation, Lifetime Education,” the Commission envisions a Georgia Tech that will serve an increasingly diverse population of learners and recommends an ambitious proposal called the Georgia Tech Commitment to a Lifetime Education.

Making this commitment a reality will take adoption of new ideas of fundamental education. The report outlines five exciting initiatives that are aimed at closing knowledge gaps, prototyping new products and services, and building critical technological infrastructure.

About the Commission on Creating the Next in Education:
In late 2015 Provost Rafael L. Bras launched Georgia Tech’s Commission on Creating the Next in Education to explore and evaluate innovative approaches to higher education in order to provide alternative educational models that reduce costs, improve the effectiveness of our current methodologies, and increase opportunities and accessibility for lifelong learning. The Commission’s work focused on defining Georgia Tech’s educational environment of the future and designing bold and potentially transformational projects that build on the Institute’s legacy of academic excellence, taking into account the economic, social, and scientific changes that will shape the best universities.

The event will be streamed live at gatech.edu/ed-innovation
