Bras on April 25 for a town hall discussion as the Commission on Creating the Next in Education releases its final report.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ETitled\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026ldquo;Deliberate Innovation, Lifetime Education,\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;the Commission envisions a Georgia Tech that will serve an increasingly diverse population of learners and recommends an ambitious proposal called the\u0026nbsp;Georgia Tech Commitment to a Lifetime Education.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EMaking this commitment a reality will take adoption of new ideas of fundamental education. The report outlines five exciting initiatives that are aimed at closing knowledge gaps, prototyping new products and services, and building critical technological infrastructure.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EAbout the Commission on Creating the Next in Education:\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nIn late 2015 Provost Rafael L. Bras launched Georgia Tech\u0026rsquo;s \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.provost.gatech.edu\/commission-creating-next-education\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ECommission on Creating the Next in Education\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E to explore and evaluate innovative approaches to higher education in order to provide alternative educational models that reduce costs, improve the effectiveness of our current methodologies, and increase opportunities and accessibility for lifelong learning.
