VPID Finalist: Sallye McKee

The search committee charged with identifying Georgia Tech’s first Vice President for Institute Diversity has narrowed its list of candidates to three finalists. The first of these is Sallye McKee, who is scheduled for a two-day campus visit and will deliver a public presentation during this open forum.

McKee has more than twenty-five years of administrative and teaching experiences providing leadership to enhance diversity and inclusive excellence in diverse public and private settings in higher education. She has received recognition for her work in service learning and the development of campus climates that foster diversity and inclusion. Prior to her most recent role at the University of Colorado, she held similar leadership roles at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities), the University of Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and Bowling Green State University (Ohio). McKee holds master’s and doctoral degrees in curriculum/instruction and educational psychology from the Universities of Chicago and Minnesota, respectively, as well as a bachelor’s degree in French/secondary education from Morris Brown College in Atlanta.
