Deadline Approaching to Apply for GTFWC Scholarships for Children of Tech Employees

The Georgia Tech Faculty Women’s Club (GTFWC) will award five scholarships of $2,000 each for the 2017-18 academic year to qualified students. Applicants must be Georgia Tech undergraduates and have a parent or guardian as a permanent Tech employee. Applicants also must have completed at least one full semester at Tech; have an overall GPA of at least 2.75; and write a three page essay (1-2 pages total) describing his or her academic plans, involvement in extracurricular activities, and reasons for needing financial assistance.

Over the past 25 years, the GTFWC has awarded 153 scholarships totaling $126,050 to support undergraduates.

The deadline to apply is February 28, 2016; the scholarship committee will make its selections in March.
