High school teacher and Georgia Tech CEISMC GIFT fellow, Casey M. Bethel co-authored the research article, "Enzymatic hydrolysis by transition-metal-dependent nucleophilic aromatic substitution" that was published in the international monthly journal Nature on October 3, 2016. Bethel's research was conducted with senior researcher Raquel Lieberman, an associate professor at Georgia Tech’s School of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
