Primary tabs

While exercise is a component of overall health and wellness, this program is targeted at any employee interested in the benefits gained from increasing both physical and mental flexibility, strength, and endurance to lead happier, healthier and more productive lives.

  • Suzy Harrington, executive director, Center for Community Health and Well-Being, presents Creating a Culture of Health and Well-Being. A “culture” of health and well-being is one where Georgia Tech employees and students can flourish and be fulfilled individually and within our communities where we live, learn, work, and play. It is an active culture where we can harmonize our physical, emotional, professional, social, and spiritual dimensions of well-being, allowing us to be the best we can be at each moment, as we strive for excellence, not perfection.
  • Randy Rhino, DC, Georgia Tech Athletic Association, presents Back to Basics - A view from the Georgia Tech Campus Chiropractor: Stiff neck? Lower back pain? These symptoms may result of sitting at your desk longer than recommended. A recent article on the WebMD website revealed that a two-minute hourly walk may offset the effects of sitting. Learn Georgia Tech's most common office ailments and steps you can take to combat and prevent them.
  • Elisha Quillen-Smith, assistant director, G.I.T. FIT Programs presents On your mark, get set, GIT Fit! Now that you’re up and active, take advantage of the plethora of wellness offerings available through the Campus Recreation Center.
