The Division of Student Life is pleased to announce the availability of The Alvin M. Ferst Leadership and Entrepreneur Award. This $2,500 award will be given to a junior or seniorwith at least a 2.5 GPA who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and/or entrepreneurial skills while at Georgia Tech.

The Alvin M. Ferst Leadership and Entrepreneur Award will be presented at the Student Honors Celebration on April 20, 2016.

Qualities of the Ideal Candidate:

• A person of vision
• A driving force to create a business or organization
• An inspiration to others to reach their potential
• A leader with the ability to anticipate future needs
• An optimist about finding solutions
• One who generates support of the dream
• And a person of character who says, “why not,” not “why.”

Applications must include a one-page cover letter describing qualifications for the award along with resume and two letters of reference that can be submitted at studentlife.gatech.edu  

The deadline to submit application is Noon, February 22, 2016. Finalists will be notified and interviewed by the Ferst Award selection committee.
