Seminar Title: Patents 101
Abstract:
This seminar will provide participants with a practical overview of U.S. patents and current issues. Participants will learn the basic patenting process and some of the issues that they may face as students, engineers, or entrepreneurs. The seminar will also provide guidance on those interested in a career as a patent agent or attorney.
Speaker Bio:
Mr. Jason Chang received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2001 and his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2004. After graduation from law school, he was an associate at Sutherland Asbill and Brennan LLP, where we helped companies obtain and protect their intellectual property (IP). He is now an in-house patent attorney at AT&T, where he oversees the patent prosecution group.
