Christensen Oversees New DARPA Student Video Contest

The Defense Advance Research Project Agency (DARPA) has launched a new competition on the future of robots. Through its Robots4Us video contest, DARPA asks students in grades 9-12 to address issues like how the growing use of robots will change people’s lives and make a difference for society.
Five winners, with one parent or guardian each, will be selected to attend the DARPA Robotics Challenge Finals on June 5-6, 2015, in Pomona, Calif., and will participate in a special event there on June 7, to discuss their ideas and views with a panel of experts on robotics and society.
Henrik I. Christensen, Georgia Tech’s KUKA Chair of Robotics and executive director of the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines, is overseeing the competition.
