IMPACT Speaker Series presents Denise Holloman, General Mills

Denise Holloman, VP of Global Continuous Improvement and Project Management at General Mills, will speak at Georgia Tech's IMPACT Speaker Series on September 3, 2014. The title of her talk is "Following Your Passion, Creating Your Path." All are welcome to attend.  

Background

Holloman joined General Mills in December, 1996 as the Plant Technical Manager for the Cedar Rapids Manufacturing Operation.  In January, 1998 she became the Senior Plant Technical Manager of the Cedar Rapids Operation.  In October, 1999 she became the Director, Packaging Engineering and Materials Handling and transferred to Minneapolis.  She continued in that expanded role with the Pillsbury acquisition and subsequent integration.  In November 2003, she was named Director, Manufacturing Engineering and Capital Efficiency.

 Prior to joining General Mills, Holloman spent 12 years with Procter and Gamble in various operations management, maintenance, project management and engineering roles.  She is a 1983 graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and a Certified TPM Instructor through the Japanese Institute of Plant Maintenance in Tokyo.                                                          

About the Impact Speaker Series:

Since 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from "building a venture around intellectual capital" to "successful entrepreneurship in large organizations" and "socially responsible leadership". The weekly series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni and the Atlanta business community an opportunity to network and learn from successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business and non-profit leaders.

The series is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required.
