GT joins the Generation Study Abroad Committment

Primary tabs

Georgia Tech has joined Generation Study Abroad in making a pledge to increase the number of students who study abroad and have an international experience. Generation Study Abroad is an initiative from the Institute of International Education, asking at least 100 U.S. colleges and universities to make a committment to significantly increasing the participation rate of their students who study abroad at some point during their undergraduate career.

Georgia Tech commits to reaching 60% of undergraduates having an international expereince by graduation, by the year 2020. This will be accomplished primarily by expanding program offerings - international service learning programs, programs in countries where Tech does not currently have options and creating embedded study abroad options. GT also plans to dramatically increase the number of students that pursue internships abroad.
