Library Partners with Local Daycare to Raise Books & Bears for Kids

Primary tabs

This holiday season, the Library and Learning Excellence is partnering with Sheltering Arms, a local nonprofit early childhood education program, to support their Annual Holiday Book and Bears Campaign.Sheltering Arms provides 2,500 children with a book and bear to help build a home library and develop a lifelong love of reading. In order to make sure every child gets a book and bear this year, the Library is collecting books and stuffed bears to contribute.

Sheltering Arms serves children 5 years and under. In addition to a stuffed bear, please donate a picture book, or a book from their preferred reading list. You can drop the items off at the Library or order online through Amazon. Only donate new bears and books can be accepted.

The Georgia Tech community is invited to participate and make a contribution to this cause. Deposit your donation by December 13 in a dropbox in the Library Rotunda and in the Price Gilbert lounge.
