  <title><![CDATA[Library Partners with Local Daycare to Raise Books & Bears for Kids]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>This holiday season, the Library and Learning Excellence is partnering with Sheltering Arms, a local nonprofit early childhood education program, to support their Annual Holiday Book and Bears Campaign.Sheltering Arms provides 2,500 children with a book and bear to help build a home library and develop a lifelong love of reading. In order to make sure every child gets a book and bear this year, the Library is collecting books and stuffed bears to contribute.</p><p>Sheltering Arms serves children 5 years and under. In addition to a stuffed bear, please donate a picture book, or a book from their <a href="http://weblog.library.gatech.edu/news/files/2013/11/books-bears-reading-list.pdf">preferred reading list</a>. You can drop the items off at the Library or order online through&nbsp;<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html/ref=wlem-si-html_viewall/002-7410352-1427228?id=S83QJ8W1Y3R5">Amazon</a>. Only donate&nbsp;new bears and books can be accepted.</p><p>The Georgia Tech community is invited to participate and make a contribution to this cause.
