Eyewear Collection Drive Hosted on Campus Through October 18

Primary tabs

Did you know around the world, 284 million people suffer from poor vision because they don’t have access to or can’t afford glasses?

Georgia Tech has partnered with OneSight, a family of vision care programs dedicated to improving vision for those in need. OneSight volunteers will recycle and hand-deliver glasses to thousands of people in need during Optical Clinics held annually around the world.

Human Resources is leading Georgia Tech’s efforts to assist OneSight by holding an eyewear collection drive now through October 18, 2013. During the drive, we will collect:

  • Men, women and children's prescription eyewear
  • Non-prescription sunglasses

Five OneSight collection boxes are stationed around campus. Boxes can be found at the following locations:

  • OHR lobby
  • CRC front desk
  • Library circulation desk
  • Student Center information desk
  • Enterprise Innovation Institute HR office

If you have questions, please contact BeNedra Williams at 404-894-3925. For more information about OneSight, visit www.onesight.org.
