Have a Seat: the Chair Show

Twelve chairs by twelve students from the sophomore studio in the School of Industrial Design are on display in the Richards Gallery at the Ferst Center for the Arts, now through April 26. “Have a Seat,” is an exhibit of selected plywood chairs designed by students in a project in which they served as clients to each other, offering unique problems and requirements for each design. The chairs have already been included in a choreographed performance by dancers and have been sat in and photographed by hundreds of elementary school students visiting the Ferst Center.
