Developing Undergraduates as Scholarly Rearchers & Writers

Primary tabs

How do we prepare our undergraduates at Georgia Tech to take a scholarly approach to research and writing?  How do we help our students learn to contribute to a particular body of knowledge and then highlight what they’ve accomplished?

This workshop will feature efforts on campus that are helping undergraduates develop and demonstrate their skills in research and writing.  The first part of the workshop will focus on two examples of faculty and librarian partnerships that have successfully enhanced the scholarly research that students do in particular courses.  Next, the Office of Undergraduate Research will showcase what they are doing to engage students in research and writing. Throughout the session you’ll hear from students who will describe their experiences and discuss the impact it’s having on their undergraduate education.
