No Login Required to Access Library eResources on Campus

Primary tabs

Georgia Tech faculty and students now have seamless access to the Georgia Tech Library’s eResources.

The Library recently decided to extend IP access for subscribed electronic resources to the entire Georgia Tech campus, as opposed to only within Library buildings. Users anywhere on campus now have automatic access to eResources without having to log in.

This new arrangement is contingent upon responsible use of the Library’s eResources by authorized GT users, which is clearly stated in the Library’s policy for use of online services. The Library is partnering with the Office of Information Technology to monitor and ensure compliance.

“We’re [Library] excited about what this means for the GT community,” said Elizabeth Winter, Electronic Resources Coordinator for the Library. “We have been working on this all summer, and I’m pleased that we can offer our users easier access to the eJournals, databases, eBooks, electronic conference proceedings, digital libraries, and many other eResources the Library offers.”

Off-campus users will still need to use their GT account to login for proxy access to Library eResources. For easier access when off-campus, use linking tools such as the Proxy bookmark, Linkmaker, or LibX.
