The Xi Alpha chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is sponsoring this fun run/walk 5K on campus with LUNGevity to help create a world without lung cancer. 

Lung cancer impacts one in 14 Americans and is the number one cancer killer. About 55 percent of Americans diagnosed with lung cancer are either former smokers or never-smokers. If lung cancer is caught before it spreads, the chances for survival improve to more than 50 percent. 

Registration is $15 with valid student ID, $20 for lung cancer survivors, $25 for adults, $15 for seniors over age 60 and $10 for those younger than 13. For $5 off registration fee, enter code ICURE at checkout. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m.; fun run/walk begins at 10:45 a.m.
