Help Shape the Future of Georgia Tech: 2026 Graduate Student Experience Survey

Primary tabs

The 2026 Graduate Student Experience Survey is your chance to play an essential role in shaping the future of Georgia Tech.

On October 20, every graduate student will find an email in their student inbox from “Qualtrics” with the subject line “2026 Graduate Student Experience Survey.” This email contains a unique URL, which provides direct access to the survey.

“We strongly encourage you to participate in this survey,” said James Black, Executive Director of Graduate Student Success in the Office of Graduate Education. “Your input is crucial in helping us understand the current state of graduate student life and identify areas for improvement. Together, we can work towards making Georgia Tech an even better place for graduate education.”

The survey is conducted once every few years to quantify various factors that impact the experiences of graduate students at Georgia Tech. The last survey was conducted in 2023. This survey is incredibly important. Institute leaders will utilize this data to make strategic investments in programs, support, and resources to improve the graduate student experience in the future. Previous surveys have led to many positive changes including:

  • $2M in funding for stipend increases the year after the 2023 survey
  • “Improving the graduate student experience” added to the Institute Strategic Plan yielding new mentoring-in-research programs, increases in the health-insurance subsidies, more graduate student career education, and more transparency in graduate student employment policies and offer letters
  • New Navigate360 graduate student advising platform

All responses are confidential and will never be attributed to a specific person; results will only be presented in an aggregate form.

Questions about the survey can be directed to grad.ask@grad.gatech.edu.
