SpeakLab is GTPASO's public speaking workshop. This first session establishes your baseline.

Each member delivers a one minute impromptu speech on a randomly drawn prompt. While one person speaks, the rest of the group rotates through structured roles: filler word counter, timekeeper, grammar and language spotter, moderator, and feedback collector.

Every speaker receives one strength and one area for improvement, along with written feedback from the group collected on note cards and given to them at the end of the session.

Timing is signaled with cards: green at 45 seconds, yellow at one minute, red at 1:15.

No prior experience is required. SpeakLab runs throughout the semester, so members can measure their progress against the baseline set here.
