Primary tabs
What It Takes to Build, Operate, and Use Quantum Computers
Abstract: This talk surveys the quantum computing stack—from applications and algorithms to hardware controls—highlighting the complexity at each layer and the interdisciplinary skills required to build and operate quantum computers.
Bio: Amara Katabarwa earned his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 2019 and has since led industry and government-funded efforts in quantum software, benchmarking, error mitigation, and fault-tolerant algorithms, currently serving as a Senior Research Scientist for GTRI.
