We'll transform parking spaces in Tech Square into vibrant, community-driven pockets of creativity to remind us that in the heart of urban landscapes, there's room for greenery, art, and play in the Atlanta edition of this worldwide event. 

Park(ing) Day is a global movement that reimagines what the physical environment could look and feel like in a less auto-centric world. Surface parking lots, parking decks, personal driveways, and on-street parking deeply alter the human experience in urban areas and can make said spaces more engaging. On Park(ing) Day, organizations around the world "take over" public parking by paying the meter, but instead of parking a car, they set up activities and public installations such as gardens, dining spaces, and art exhibits to show passers-by how much more we could be interacting with the built environment if we didn't reserve so much space for parking!
