This event features a panel of undergraduate and graduate students - representing a broad range of countries - each of whom will share their experiences navigating Georgia Tech and the Atlanta metro area. Panelists will discuss how challenges such as culture shock, language barriers, and homesickness can create feelings of isolation and how they have found ways to anchor themselves socially and academically. After panelists share, there will be a Q&A session, focusing on advice for new students on how to maximize their holistic success. In alignment with Big Bet #1, this event supports students in their academic and professional journeys by offering opportunities and resources that promote well-being, support academic achievement, and foster meaningful connections.  The event will culminate in the Smithgall Atrium with recognition of the international flags representing our students’ home countries.  Light refreshments will be served.
