Shared Memory, Shared World: An Open Mic & Dialogue
Primary tabs
Every story holds power, and every perspective builds connection. Join Belonging and Student Support and the Georgia Tech community for an evening of reflection, creative expression, and constructive conversation. The event begins with an open-mic format where students, faculty, and staff are invited to share personal memories, stories, or reflections connected to the events of September 11, 2001. Following the open mic, we will transition into a guided, supportive dialogue exploring how past and present global events continue to shape our daily lived experiences. This event is a part of Belonging Through Service for 9/11 Day.
About 9/11 Day of National Service
This fall, as the nation marks the 25th Anniversary of September 11th, we'll be leading community service projects as part of a growing national movement to permanently transform the anniversary of 9/11 into America's Day of Doing Good.
9/11 Day is one of the largest days of charitable engagement in the U.S., inspiring millions of people each year to honor the victims, survivors, and heroes of September 11th through acts of service. We are incredibly proud to be a part of that mission this year.
Here's how you can get involved:
Volunteer with us — complete this form to get updates on all programs, services and volunteer opportunities — Share this with someone who wants to make a difference this September.
Together, we can make this anniversary one of unity, purpose, and action. We hope you'll join us!
