Recovery Management and the Treatment of Substance Abuse on College Campuses

Primary tabs

The five-hour workshop begins with a three-hour session summarizing the supported protocol(s) for addressing substance abuse/dependence for young adults and describing the theory and basic principles of the Recovery Management paradigm for treating substance abuse/addiction. There will be a one-hour lunch break with opportunities for networking and Q&A (lunch provided).

After lunch, a multidisciplinary panel of substance abuse professionals from major universities in the Atlanta area will discuss the application of empirically-supported treatments for substance abuse for college students and explore multiple issues facing both mental health professionals addressing substance abuse and college students abusing substances.
