Join GT Arts for Creative Wellness Week, September 8–11, 2026 (Ferst Center for the Arts), a four-day celebration of creativity, connection, and well-being through the arts. Designed specifically for the Georgia Tech community, this week of free programming explores the relationship between creativity, emotional well-being, mindfulness, and community through exhibitions, artist talks, hands-on workshops, and restorative experiences.

 

Tuesday, September 8: Exhibition Opening & Artist Panel (5–7 PM) 

Kick off Creative Wellness Week with an evening of art, conversation, and community. Explore an exhibition featuring works by Georgia Tech students TeAiris Majors and Sylvia H. Janicki, as well as Atlanta artists Honey Pierre and Jasmin Warnock. Stay for light refreshments and an artist panel led by Belonging and Student Support.

Wednesday, September 9: Printmaking Workshop with Jasmin Warnock (4–6 PM)

Discover printmaking as a practice of reflection, expression, and emotional release while creating your own custom tote bag. This guided workshop invites participants to slow down, connect through creativity, and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece to take home.

Thursday, September 10: Neural Threads Workshop with Honey Pierre (4–6 PM)

Explore the relationship between color, memory, the nervous system, and emotional well-being through natural dye and textile practices. This interdisciplinary workshop offers a restorative space for mindfulness, creativity, and self-expression.

Friday, September 11: Sound Bath with Ruby Velle (4:30–6 PM)

Close out Creative Wellness Week with an immersive sound bath designed to encourage rest, reflection, and nervous system regulation. Through sustained tones and meditative sound, participants are invited to decompress, reconnect, and recharge.

Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, towel, or another comfortable item to rest on.
