Join Ramblin' Ventures on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 5:30–8:00 PM at the Smithgall Flag Building Atrium for The Shop | Defining Your Professional Presence.

Inspired by the traditions of barbershop and beauty salon conversations, The Shop provides a comfortable and inviting space where personal care meets professional dialogue. While enjoying complimentary haircuts, massages, manicures, and professional headshots, students will explore the standards of professionalism, unspoken expectations, and how these concepts shape self-presentation, identity, and opportunities in entrepreneurship.

Guided by a professional barber, the Owner of Purely Pampered Nail Spa, and special guest Shameik Moore, participants will hear firsthand perspectives on entrepreneurship within the service industry. Discussions will cover how shops become spaces of trust, culture, and community, and how professionalism is expressed through craft, client relationships, and personal branding.

Rooted in a relaxed environment, the program encourages reflection on how culture and lived experience inform leadership, innovation, and professional growth, empowering students to not only engage with systems but to own their place within them.
