Cardboard Construction: Ramblin’ Wrek
Primary tabs
Join the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking on Thursday, March 19, 2026, for Cardboard Construction: Ramblin’ Wrek, an interactive workshop led by Museum Staff.
Participants will assemble their very own Ramblin’ Wreck model using a custom kit filled with laser-cut pieces. Along the way, you’ll learn 4–5 creative cardboard joining techniques engineers use to maximize structural strength.
The workshop also dives into the science of cardboard, exploring how flute direction, ply thickness, and material flexibility affect stability and durability. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a sturdy, visually impressive creation to take home.
This program is perfect for aspiring engineers, makers, or anyone interested in hands-on building and structural design. All materials are provided, and registration is required to attend.
