2026 Three Minute Thesis Finalists Announced

In last week’s preliminary round, 74 PhD and master’s students demonstrated their ability to convey their complex research in compelling three-minute presentations. Twelve competitors will advance to the final competition, where they will present their talks on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
The Office of Graduate Education extends our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants in this year’s preliminary round. The dedication, preparation, and passion displayed by every competitor made this selection process incredibly challenging. Crafting a 3MT talk is no easy feat, and all who took part should be proud of their achievement.
This year’s finalists represent a wide range of disciplines across campus.

The Georgia Tech community is invited to attend the final competition in person on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Ehmer Theater inside the John Lewis Student Center. 3MT will also be streamed online ( click to view the live stream). Audience members and online viewers will vote for their favorite presenter to win the coveted People’s Choice Award.
The Three Minute Thesis Competition is coordinated by the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education (GPE) in partnership with the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), the Naugle Writing and Communications Center, and the Language Institute.
