EarthSeed South Presents: Brannu: The Urban Cowboy Film Screening and Q&A. 

Join us for a screening of Brannu: The Urban Cowboy, a documentary that follows an urban horseman in Atlanta battling local government as he builds his horse ranch. The film explores resilience, land, and identity at the intersection of tradition and urban life. The screening will take place on March 18, 2026 at 7:00 PM and will be followed by a Q&A with the Director and Crew, offering insight into the filmmaking process and the story behind Brannu’s fight.

Earthseed is an Afrofuturist digital humanities collaborative research project supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation that incorporates Black media studies, digital media, and science fiction studies. Through the use of Afrofuturist curriculum, medicinal community gardens, podcasts, films, research symposia, and scholarship, we seek to address the significance of climate change in Black communities in the South and Midwest.
