Facilitator:Laura Garcia, Director of Undergraduate Career Education, Career Center
Bio: Laura Garcia has 18 years of experience working in collegiate career services in various roles that include employer relations, career coaching, communications, and managing large-scale strategic initiatives. She currently serves as Director of Undergraduate Career Education at the Georgia Institute of Technology Career Center, where she leads a dedicated team committed to helping students discover meaningful careers, strengthen their professional skills, and thrive post-graduation.
Previously, she served as Associate Director for Recruiting and External Relations at the Emory University Career Center, where she led the employer relations team and partnered with Emory Corporate Relations, Advancement, and the Alumni Association on large-scale programs that expanded career opportunities for students. Before joining Emory, Laura provided comprehensive career coaching to undergraduate and graduate students across all majors at the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
Over the course of her career, she has received ten national, regional, and campus awards from the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers, Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Career Leadership Collective, and the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Laura earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Clemson University, a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from the University of Tennessee, and an Executive Leadership certificate from Cornell University.
