Cosmic Missteps: Turning Research Failures into Art (Amanda Stockton and Zeynep Ozcan)

Join us for a hands-on workshop where research and creative missteps become material for artistic experimentation on February 17 from 2:30–3:30 PM in the Scholars Event Theater of the Georgia Tech Library. Amanda Stockton and Zeynep Ozcan will reflect on how failure shapes both research and creative work before introducing Inviso, a tool for creating interactive sonic virtual environments. Using your own recorded responses, you’ll transform personal experiences with failure into a virtual scene that explores resilience, learning, and growth. No prior experience needed - just bring your phone or laptop, headphones, curiosity, and openness to experimentation.
