AIAA Atlanta Section Rocketry Summit

Join AIAA Atlanta as they host local student rocketry teams who are truly aiming for the stars.
AIAA Atlanta has been sponsoring and supporting STEM education through student rocketry since 2019. This event brings together collegiate teams and rocketry organizations from across Georgia to showcase their work, share goals, and connect with industry and community supporters.
The event is open to all—AIAA members and non-members alike.
Participating Teams & Organizations
- Ramblin’ Rocket Club – targeting a 100,000-foot altitude on solid fuel in the Spaceport America Cup (SAC).
- Yellow Jacket Space Program (YJSP) – aiming to reach the Kármán line using liquid propulsion.
- Kennesaw State University Rocketry Team – competing in the NASA Student Launch Challenge and pursuing L1–L3 certifications.
- University of Georgia (UGA) – students earning L1 certifications and competing in SAC.
- SoAR (Southern Area Rocketry) – the National Association of Rocketry (NAR)–chartered club serving model rocket enthusiasts in North Georgia.
Schedule
- 5:30 p.m. – Social & networking hour
- 6:30 p.m. – Dinner
- 7:30 p.m. – Announcements followed by presentations
Dinner is optional and costs $20–$35.
Attendance for the networking session and presentations is free.
Registration & Cost
Attendance for the meeting and presentations is free. Attendees only pay for food and beverages.
