ADVANCE Demystifying Georgia Tech: Faculty Governance

Primary tabs

The ADVANCE Professors have organized a Spring 2026 Demystifying Georgia Tech event focused on faculty governance. The session will include box lunches and networking time, a concise presentation, and a robust discussion period.

The presenters for this event are Dima Nazzal (chair of the Faculty Executive Board and Associate Chair for Academic Administration in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering) and Adam Steinberg (Secretary of the Georgia Tech Faculty and Pratt & Whitney Chair and professor in the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering)

To help with lunch orders please RSVP before February 24.

All are welcome and even if you do not RSVP, you are still welcome to attend.

*The ADVANCE professors represent an inter-college network of professors who offer advice on structure and policy in relationship to gender and tenure track faculty. In doing so the ADVANCE program is designed to strengthen both faculty impact and well-being for the entire campus community. For more information visit the ADVANCE webpage.

While ADVANCE’s focus began with a NSF grant in 2001 centered on attraction and retention of tenure track women in STEM, all interested faculty members are invited to the Demystifying Tech panel discussion.
