Ideas to Serve Poster Showcase
Primary tabs
The Institute for Leadership and Social Impact invites you to the Ideas to Serve Poster Showcase, the culmination of the 2026 Social Impact course. Join us to vote for your favorite poster and enjoy a complimentary KoP! Students will present the results of their problem-discovery journey across various societal issues prevalent in Atlanta. The 2026 topics are:
- Independent Journalism: Investigating what happens when the news is privatized and AI-driven
- Mental Health: Exploring the importance of social connections and third places
- Sustainability as Post-growth: Understanding the drivers and outcomes of overconsumption
I2S takes a comprehensive approach to social innovation, encouraging students to be compassionate listeners, identify and build on the assets of the community, research the solution landscape to learn from both what works and what has failed, and take a systems approach to identify the root cause versus the symptoms of the issue.
Students who aspire to work closely with and learn from a community partner/civic entrepreneur, and those who are wondering how they can make a real, lasting, and appropriate difference in other people’s lives, are ideal candidates for I2S.
A series of hands-on workshops and discussions, complemented by conversations with frontline experts, equips participants with broadly applicable problem-discovery tools and skills they can apply in any field or career.
