Noe Rodrigo Gisbert with SoM Percussionists and Concert Orchestra

Primary tabs

The Georgia Tech School of Music welcomes international percussionist Noè Rodrigo Gisbert for a 10-day residency during the Spring 2026 Concert Season, sponsored by the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C. The residency emphasizes collaborative learning through performance, placing students, faculty, and a visiting artist at the center of an immersive musical exchange.

On Thursday, February 12, Gisbert will perform with School of Music percussionists before joining the Georgia Tech Concert Orchestra as head timpanist. The program will feature a marimba duet with orchestra percussionist Fischer Jehs, alongside orchestral repertoire showcasing the dynamic role of percussion within the ensemble.

Gisbert is an international soloist and an active performer with contemporary music ensembles and theater groups, most recently with the Asko|Schönberg Ensemble. A specialist in contemporary music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, he also maintains an active international performance and teaching career, including a professorship at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León. His residency offers Georgia Tech students a rare opportunity to rehearse and perform alongside a world-class artist in a professional orchestral setting.
